September 9, 2013-Monday

Our last day before we head home in the morning. What a peaceful and relaxing area of Pennsylvania.
We  will surely return to Beacon Hill Campground in Intercourse PA. A buffet breakfast to start our day, shopping, and view of the country side to end the day. We  were even next door to the birth of a calf around 6 pm today. Welcome to the good life. Hope you enjoyed our short blog and pictures of our 2 week Pennsylvania trip.

Off to the Buffet at Dienner's
This was not her first sticky bun for breakfast
She now wants to go shopping.
Actually, Dennis wanted to get some pineapple salsa.
He is thrilled!

                                                         The country side with animals.
Chickens who lay an egg or two everyday.
The farm house.
Our friend, Mr. Duck!!!!!!!

Working from sun up to sun down. Three mules, one wagon, one boy, ready to pick another load of corn.

An Estes truck picking up or dropping off products at one of the farms.
Had to take this for Kevin.

Well until another trip we thank you following us on our travels.
Robin and Dennis

Hi Everybody!!   We've been busy over the last few days!    Here are some of our excursions :)).

All kinds of stuff at this place. Dennis got some work gloves.

                                                    Fruits & vegetables galore!!!!!!

                                                         Little Miss Hollywood!!

Doing a little sightseeing in the country!!!
Corn, corn & more corn everywhere!

                                                             Bikers & Balloons!!

Downtown Lancaster - Central Farmer's Market - Saturday morning 9/7/13

One of the oldest continuously running Farmer's Market in the country!!

I could have bought everything in there!!!!

Early lunch - I had a spring roll and Dennis had a meatball slider! Delish!!

Pigging out on a powdered custard filled doughnut!!!  No calories I'm sure :))
Nice, sugar coated lips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back at the Bird in Hand Farmers market - you'd think all we did is eat!!!!
                                                          Back home to Buttercup!
Sam King's Amish farm across the street from our campsite.
Harvesting corn to load in the silos for the cows to eat this winter!   What an amazing site to see
them do this mostly by hand!!

The machine cuts two rows at a time and is pulled by mules.
The boys load the stalks on to a wagon which is also pulled by mules.

Loading the stalks in the chipper which feeds it up to the top of the silo!

Back out sightseeing - found a roadside chicken BBQ!!!
Since we haven't had much to eat lately (haha) - we just couldn't resist!!!
Can't you just smell it cooking??

Visited the petting farm across the street! No that is not Dennis,

its a pot belly pet pig.

What a tongue on this cow!!

Shopping, shopping & more shopping!!   Dennis was thrilled.

Back home for a our chicken dinner!!   Also fixed fresh squash & onions and fried some eggplant.
Dennis tried out some peaches :)).

Another nice day coming to an end - look closely at the hot air balloons over our campsite.

It's Saturday evening 9/8/13.   Spent the evening by another nice campfire!!
